I like how on Facebook it says “Write a birthday wish on her timeline…”

That sounds like permission to go down the list and write to each of them, 

• “Hello! I’d like a nice watch for my birthday.”
• “Who are you again? I’m wishing for a peaceful spa day next June!”
• “HOPE YOU’RE ENJOYING DATING MY EX. LOOKS FUN. ME, I WANT A LARGE BOTTLE OF FANCY BOOZE.”
