Reasons to see the film “Outlander” as culled from its Wikipedia entry

  • Here’s a loose plot summary: A space craft from the future crashes in Norway in the time of the Vikings. Caviezel then helps the Vikings fight a bloodthirsty alien.
  • The Vikings have British accents, even though it’s clearly established this all takes place in Norway.
  • Cost $47 MILLION to make — and made $59,581 in its opening weekend.
  • $59,581!
  • And because first you must go through the disambiguation page that asks you, “Do you mean the Mitsubishi Outlander?” and you’re tempted to say yes. Vikings and aliens and Jim Caviezel. Come on.
